REFLECTION
GLOBAL WARMING
Before reading the article, I knew pretty much about Global Warning. Global Warming is a serious threat to climate, sea-level, ecosystem as well as the entire human life. It is a serious issue that should be given more emphasis and people should know more about it.
It is due to the human activities that Global Warming has become a serious problem. I strongly feel that this issue should be given more importance to spread awareness among people so that they could contribute a bit towards the society. Increase in Global Warming can have a severe impact on the whole ecosystem. For instance, polar ice caps are melting, plants and animals are migrating, tropical rain is shifting, and droughts are becoming more widespread and frequent. Therefore, there is an urgent need by the society and us to contribute a bit from our side towards the environment.

CHAPTER 5 Reflection
Before reading this chapter, I didn't know how to preview a chapter and the tips to preview a chapter. But, after reading it, I found that there are two ways to preview a chapter; to find only the most important ideas in the material and to note how they are organised. It also tells us how to develop questions so as to make it easy to preview. The chapter also explains five techniques to review a chapter(SQ3R) which enables us to learn as we read. The chapter briefly explains to preview, form questions as we read, highlight the major points, reviewing the section and finally to write a brief outline of the major ideas in the section.

CHAPTER 3
CHAPTER 3
Kritika Sharma USING CONTEXT CLUES
Sept 19, 2012 REFLECTION
Before reading this chapter, I did not know about the types of context clues.
I didn't even know how to use them. But, this chapter gives a brief and small introduction about context clues and its types. Also, the author has given examples to illustrate and give an idea of how these context clues are used in a given topic. I want to know more about the context clues in detail or rather knowing in detail, I would like to practice some passages which include the context clues.I learned that there are various ways to identify context clues either by finding an antonym of the word or by using logic and reasoning skills. Also, a word can be defined by a brief definition or synonym, or including examples that help to explain or clarify a word.
